Product Warranty

Tesla Fire Systems is an authorized distributor of Amerex fire protection products. Every Amerex extinguisher and fire protection product we sell is backed directly by Amerex Corporation's Limited Warranty for Goods, which covers defects in material and workmanship under conditions of normal use.

Amerex Limited Warranty Periods

Under the Amerex Corporation Limited Warranty for Goods (effective September 16, 2025), coverage periods run from the date of purchase and vary by product category as follows:

Kitchen, industrial, commercial vehicle, and gas detection systems	3 years

Small vehicle systems, clean agent systems, calibration kits, brackets, and custom products	1 year

What Is Covered

Amerex warrants that its products will match the description provided at the time of sale and will be free from defects in material and workmanship under conditions of normal use, for the applicable warranty period shown above.

What Is Not Covered

The Amerex warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear, erosion, or corrosion
• Damage from improper storage, use, or maintenance
• Parts, components, or accessories not manufactured or approved by Amerex
• Damage caused by external forces, including impact, vandalism, improper installation, or events such as earthquake
• Products that have been modified, or used with accessories not approved by Amerex
• Units with a missing, broken, or tampered factory lockwire seal
• Labor or installation charges

Products Purchased From Tesla Fire Systems

As an authorized Amerex distributor, Tesla Fire Systems will assist customers with legitimate warranty claims on eligible Amerex products and help coordinate the manufacturer warranty process directly with Amerex.

• The product must have been purchased from Tesla Fire Systems or an authorized Tesla Fire Systems sales channel.
• Proof of purchase is required.
• Product model and serial number are required.
• Photographs, videos, or other documentation of the reported defect may be requested.
• Under the Amerex warranty terms, a claim must be submitted in writing within 10 calendar days of discovering the defect, and the product must be returned for inspection within 60 calendar days of Amerex's receipt of the claim. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
• Final determination of a warranty claim — repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price paid — is made by Amerex Corporation. Amerex's liability under the warranty will never exceed the purchase price paid for the product.

Fire Extinguisher Maintenance

Fire extinguishers are life-safety devices and must be properly installed, inspected, maintained, and serviced in accordance with applicable manufacturer instructions and fire-code requirements.

Improper installation, misuse, physical damage, corrosion, unauthorized modification, improper servicing, failure to maintain the equipment, or the use of non-approved replacement parts can void warranty coverage.

After a Fire Extinguisher Has Been Used

A fire extinguisher that has been partially or fully discharged should not automatically be considered ready for continued service.

Depending on the extinguisher type and model, the unit may require professional inspection, recharge, servicing, or replacement before being returned to service.
